The Inspector of Schools states
that the Ellis Kadoorie School, at which the average daily
attendance in 1904 was 186.88 and has considerably in-
-creased during the present year, well deserves support and
that the present buildings are not well suited to its re-
-quirements. The Director of Public Works reports that the
proposed extension is well considered and will form a use-
-ful addition to the school premises. The grant of half the
cost of the extension, but not exceeding $7,000, will be
subject to the same condition as in the other case and will
probably not be required till 1907 in the Estimates for
which year it is proposed to make provision for it if ap-
-proved.

Sir,
Your most obedient
Humble servant,
M. Nathan
